Christy Peterson
Christy Peterson is a second year nursing student at Mid-Plains. She is the mother of 5 children, two of which she inherited through marriage. They range in age from 20 to 12. She is a volunteer EMT with Frontier County Rescue and teaches EMT , First Responder and CPR classes for MPCC- North Platte. She has been secretary for the Nebraska Emergency Medical Services Association (NEMSA) for the last 3 years and just got re-elected for another two year term. She was Legislative chair and then 2 nd Vice for Nebraska State Student Nursing Association (NSSNA). She is scheduled to graduate in May with her Associate Degree in Nursing and hopes to work in North Platte . She also plans to continue her education and work towards her bachelor and master degrees. She is active in her church and went to Ecuador last summer on a mission trip.
